An SAP FS-RI (Financial Services Reinsurance) Consultant designs, configures, and supports SAP reinsurance solutions. They bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, managing treaty/facultative structures, premium calculations, claims processing, and financial accounting to ensure seamless system integration
Responsibilities
- Provides high level of expertise in the design and functionality of business applications
- Understands the business objectives and how best they can be supported by IT
- Responsible for the conceptual design of business applications
- Reviews and validates the technical design for business applications provided by the supplier
- Performs quality review checks on project deliverables
- Validates suppliers estimates
- Performs impact analysis of application changes across various components
- Reviews and validates the detailed technical design for business applications provided by the supplier to ensure alignment with business requirements
- Performs quality review checks on project deliverables
- Supports the implementation activities, troubleshooting system environmental issues, training as required
- Translate complex reinsurance requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Set up and maintain treaty and facultative structures, proportional/non-proportional arrangements, participation structures, and risk accumulations.
- Ensure accurate reinsurance accounting (UPR, EPI, reinstatement premiums) and seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP FS-CD.
- Manage period-end (month, quarter, year-end) close processes, premium estimations, claims recoveries, and settlements.
- Lead or support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, and data reconciliation.
- Work alongside Actuarial, Finance, Business Operations, and IT teams to implement and optimize SAP systems.
- 5+ Year working with SAP environment
- Deep understanding of both general reinsurance concepts and insurance operations.
- Hands-on experience with SAP FS-RI module configurations.
- Proficiency in linking FS-RI with SAP FS-CD (Collections and Disbursements) and SAP FI/CO.
- Background in managing proportional/non-proportional treaties and facultative contracts.

- Realiza controles de calidad sobre los entregables del proyecto
- Soporta las actividades de implementación, solución de problemas de los problemas ambientales del sistema, capacitación según sea necesario
- Traduce requisitos complejos de reaseguro en especificaciones funcionales y técnicas.
- Configura y mantiene estructuras de tratado y facultativas, arreglos proporcionales/no proporcionales, estructuras de participación y acumulaciones de riesgo.
- Asegura la contabilidad de reaseguros precisa (UPR, EPI, primas de reinstalación) y la integración perfecta con SAP S/4HANA Finance y SAP FS-CD.
- Gestiona los procesos de cierre de período (mes, trimestre, año), estimaciones de primas, recuperaciones de siniestros y liquidaciones.
- Lidera o apoya las pruebas de integración del sistema (SIT) y las pruebas de aceptación del usuario (UAT), la resolución de defectos y la reconciliación de datos.
- Trabaja junto con los equipos de Actuaría, Finanzas, Operaciones de Negocio y TI para implementar y optimizar los sistemas SAP.
