POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Operations is responsible for leading, standardizing, and optimizing the overall operations across all properties within the hotel group. The primary objective is to ensure an exceptional guest experience aligned with luxury standards, while driving operational efficiency, profitability, and achievement of strategic business goals.
This role acts as a strategic partner to General Managers, enhancing property performance through direct oversight, operational audits, and rigorous control of key performance indicators (KPIs), with a strong focus on maximizing GOP (Gross Operating Profit).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and optimize operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage (restaurants, bars, and banquets).
- Implement and enforce corporate service, quality, and hygiene standards across all properties.
- Conduct regular operational audits and site inspections to ensure consistency in guest experience.
- Analyse financial performance indicators (P&L, GOP, RevPAR, ADR) and develop action plans to maximize profitability.
- Support and mentor General Managers, ensuring alignment with annual budgets and performance targets.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, operational efficiencies, and innovation in the guest experience.
- Coordinate corporate strategies across properties to ensure operational alignment and synergies.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and health protocols.
- Manage operational crises and make strategic decisions in high-pressure environments.
Reports to: Chief Operating and Financial Officer
Requisitos:
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or Hospitality Management) is highly desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8–10 years in the hospitality industry.
- At least 3–5 years in a General Manager role within luxury or upscale hotels.
- Proven experience managing multiple properties (multi-site operations).
- Strong background in high-volume Food & Beverage operations.
Languages:
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
Additional Requirements:
- Full availability to travel frequently between properties.
- Preferred age range: 40 to 50 years old
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations (Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, F&B).
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L analysis, budgeting, and cost control.
- Familiarity with international luxury hospitality standards.
- Expertise in key industry metrics: GOP, RevPAR, ADR, and guest satisfaction indices.
- Experience with hotel management systems (PMS, POS, and reporting tools).

Responsabilidades
- Supervisar y optimizar las operaciones de Front Office, Housekeeping, Mantenimiento y Alimentos y Bebidas.
- Implementar y hacer cumplir los estándares corporativos de servicio, calidad e higiene.
- Realizar auditorías operativas e inspecciones para asegurar la consistencia en la experiencia del huésped.
- Analizar indicadores financieros (P&L, GOP, RevPAR, ADR) y desarrollar planes de acción para maximizar la rentabilidad.
- Apoyar y guiar a los Gerentes Generales, asegurando la alineación con los presupuestos y objetivos de rendimiento anuales.
- Liderar iniciativas de mejora continua, eficiencia operativa e innovación en la experiencia del huésped.
- Coordinar estrategias corporativas entre propiedades para asegurar la alineación operativa y las sinergias.
- Asegurar el cumplimiento de las regulaciones locales, estándares de seguridad y protocolos de salud.
- Gestionar crisis operativas y tomar decisiones estratégicas en entornos de alta presión.
