Java Developer - AI Expert We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to help design, implement, and improve scalable backend APIs while collaborating with AI research initiatives. This role focuses on backend engineering, AI-assisted development workflows, and testing next-generation developer tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize REST and GraphQL APIs
• Implement backend validation, error handling, and security best practices
• Plan and execute database migrations and schema optimizations
• Test AI-powered coding tools and provide structured feedback
• Collaborate with research and engineering teams
• Submit incident reports, bug traces, and workflow evaluations
• Contribute to improving developer experience and AI tooling

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional backend development experience
• Strong Java and Kotlin expertise
• Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and GraphQL
• Database migration and performance optimization experience
• Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Cursor
• Strong written and verbal English communication
• Experience working in fast-paced remote environments

Nice to have

• Open-source contributions or GitHub activity
• Experience evaluating developer tooling
• Interest in AI-assisted software development
• Experience with experimental engineering workflows
